“My knees, back and shoulders used to be a mess...

...It was impossible to get a cardio workout with my bad joints.  I very reluctantly agreed to try Sumits Hot Yoga as a favor to my wife.  I am so glad I gave it a try!  The next morning, I woke up feeling better than I had in the past and my knees didn’t hurt as much.  I went to class by myself the next afternoon and felt better yet.  The rest is history as I was hooked.  I love the work out (as does my wife and daughter) and I attend classes 4-6 times per week.  I’ve had numerous changes since starting hot yoga.  Physically, I lost 20 pounds in my first three months.  I am considerably stronger, more flexible, and no more dry skin.   Most importantly,my knees, back and shoulder don’t bother me anymore.   Mental and emotional gains include increased focus and patience, more self acceptance, and considerably less stress!  Great teachers make it easy.  Melissa has such a soothing, nurturing spirit and I leave her classes completely rejuvenated.  Emily guides with the perfect balance between compassion and motivation.  I’ve watched other students from ages of 18-65 discover similar benefits. Give it a try and remember “it’s not yoga perfect.  It’s yoga practice”!

“The overall health benefits...

...have now helped make me an enhanced, healthier, and better rounded athlete.  Yoga has helped increase my flexibility, strengthened my core, helped control my breathing and assisted the muscles that are not focused on while I am doing my mixed martial arts training.  Another benefit would include the emotional side of Sumits Yoga; hence my ability to be more composed, collected, and a mentally focused fighter.  Yoga is an incredible workout for the mind and body.”

“When I started Hot Yoga...

...I was looking to lose weight. Very quickly I learned it was so much more. I did have success and lost two dress sizes but I gained so much more. I learned how to organize my thoughts and feelings while also learning to love and most importantly, like myself.”
